The goals of this grant included bringing the art world into the classroom and having the equipment to share student work across the grades. Students were able to access the electronic libraries of museums and galleries worldwide. Images and information enhanced the curriculum through the study of individual artists and artistic movements. Open discussions about images projected for the entire class to see created a student-centered class where students could offer and discuss their opinions. The process of critiquing increased vocabulary, observation and validation of students’ opinions. Students were able to take these skills and apply them to their own artwork.
