Alison Mulligan, Ex Officio
Alison Mulligan, a veteran educator of over 27 years, is entering her 24th year with the Newton Public Schools. She currently works in the Department of Teaching and Learning at the Ed Center as Middle School World Language Coordinator and Coordinator of Professional Learning. Prior to this position, Alison was a Spanish Teacher who taught at three of the four Newton middle schools: Oak Hill, Brown and Bigelow. Alison currently serves the Newton Public schools as a member (and former Chair) of the Newton-Beijing Jingshan School Exchange Committee, the Race and Achievement Leadership Team, and Joint Instructional Counsel. Alison’s two sons are graduates of Newton South and her daughter is a high school Junior. Alison has a B.A. in Spanish from Colgate University, an M.Ed. in Technology in Education from Lesley University and she is a graduate of EDCO’s Educational Leadership Institute.
