Claire Sokoloff
Claire Sokoloff has served on the NSF Board since 2014. She was previously on the Newton School Committee for 8 years, serving as Chair from 2009-13. Earlier, she held school leadership roles, including Bowen and Oak Hill PTO President and Newton South School Council Chair. Claire was a Partner for 15 years at Synectics, Inc., an international consulting firm specializing in innovation. Claire co-led the firm’s culture change practice; she managed organizational change projects and taught creative problem-solving and facilitative leadership skills. She has also been a Lecturer in Organizational Behavior at Boston University. Claire is actively involved in Newton civic life, most recently helping to establish and implement the Newton COVID-19 Care Fund. She also serves on the Board of Directors of Wellfleet’s Preservation Hall. Claire received her M.A. and Ph.D. degrees in Organizational Behavior from the Yale School of Management and a B.A in Psychology from Brown University.
