Restaurants and the Recovery: How dining in Newton is rebounding and evolving

We’ve all heard that the pandemic hurt the hospitality industry hard. But how hard? And what does the recovery and future look like for an industry that contributes so much our cultural and economic vitality and why we all love Newton?

Join Newton-Needham Regional Chamber President Greg Reibman and four outstanding full-service restaurant operators for a frank discussion about the state of the industry, how excited they are about welcoming customers back, and changes that may be in store for them and us.

Here’s another thing you’ll learn: How these restaurant operators  — and restaurant owners across the city — helped each other out during the pandemic and still are, even though they are competitors.

NPS graduate Emily Chan of @bostonfoodgram will introduce the panel.

Finally, we’ll ask our panel to share with us their absolute favorite thing on their menu and where else they enjoy dining in Newton.

Panelists (clockwise from top L-R)

Joelle Tomb, SUSHICO

Greg Reibman, Newton Needham Chamber of Commerce

Arpit Patel, Baramor

Emily Chan, NPS graduate and creator of @bostonfoodgram

Seana Gaherin, Dunn-Gaherin’s Food & Spirits

Nancy Cushman, Bianca Chestnut Hill
