A few words from David as to why he’s running the Marathon for Newton School Foundation:
My passion for NPS runs deep as I am a Newton resident, NPS employee (11 years at NSHS), and a parent of two current NPS children. My oldest son is currently in 8th grade at Bigelow and my younger son is in 5th grade at Underwood. My wife, who is also a public school educator in a neighboring district, and I consider ourselves so fortunate that our boys are attending such amazing schools. And the schools are amazing because the teachers and staff are amazing! My desire to run would not only be to honor my own children but to also honor their friends, classmates and teachers – even the ones they will never know or have. It would also be to honor my outstanding co-workers and fellow educators.
