The results are in for Newton Schools Foundation’s 2025-26 Honor Thy Teacher program — 545 Newton teachers and staff honored were honored this school year by families across the district!
The program offers students and families a meaningful way to thank teachers and share heartfelt messages of gratitude while also raising money for Newton Schools Foundation. Honorees receive a special keepsake magnet to proudly display in their classroom and their names are shared with their building principals and the superintendent and displayed on NSF’s website.
Proceeds from this year’s program totaled over $18,700 and will go to work for Newton students and teachers through grants that support new approaches in the classroom, professional development for teachers, and programs that promote equity.
Honorees included teachers, counselors, support staff, administrators, nurses, aides, and others who support Newton students across the Newton Public Schools. From the thoughtful notes families included with their tributes, it’s clear that Newton is extremely fortunate to have such dedicated and caring educators!
