Funding for the proposed project will enable all middle school ELA teachers to receive 3 hours of
PD around the new grammar program the department is adopting, Patterns of Power, by one of the program developers. This grant directly supports the professional growth of Newton educators by enabling middle school ELA teachers to deepen their knowledge about the conventions of language and
functional approaches to grammar instruction.
