Springboard school store in the Education Center selling food and drink items and merchandise. The store will be staffed by students and supervised by Springboard staff.
Store will be self-sustaining for multiple years after initial NSF seed money. Profits to fund SB community trips. Project aligns with goal of academic excellence through developing skills related to job readiness, accounting, business management, marketing and customer service. Community trips align with academic and social emotional goals within the district and the SB program. 75% of SB students are underrepresented groups in Newton – equity goals are met through the objectives listed above.
