The Tenacity/Brown Scholars program is aimed at empowering our Black and Latino(a) students. Brown Scholars is a new program we are starting, and the other three middle schools already have the program in process.
The Tenacity Challenge provides a space for our students of color to engage in academic challenges, creative thinking and problem solving, and collaboration in a way they do not during a regular school day. The Tenacity Challenge is way for our students of color to work together to create something they did not believe they could do. The confidence gained from this experience is remarkable and extends to the classroom and social situations.
