Karen Carroll Bennett
Karen Carroll Bennett has lived in Newton since 2012 with her 3 children (all going through NPS) and is passionate about public education and racial justice.
Karen is a Senior Leader with 18+ years’ experience in financial, leadership, strategic, and administrative management in Higher Education and Non-Profit Organizations. She is also a Founding Member of the Newton Coalition of Black Residents (NCBR), 2020-present; Treasurer and Executive Board Member, Families Organizing for Racial Justice (FORJ), 2016-present; President and Board Member, Board of Governors, The New Art Center, 2013 –2015; and a Trustee of Myrtle Baptist Church, 2012–2016.
Karen holds a BS from Babson College and an MA from Ohio University.
