Maureen Oates
Maureen Oates has lived in Newton with her family since 2001. Maureen spent more than fifteen years in technology research, focusing on organizational culture, leadership development, people strategy, employee communications and change management.
While her three sons progressed through the Newton Public Schools, Maureen served as Co-President and Vice President of the Mason-Rice PTO, Co-President of the Brown Middle School PTO, chair of Brown’s mini-grant program and Elementary Rep & Nominating Committee member for Newton’s PTO Council.
Maureen is a member of the Hyde Community Center board, a participant in her college’s Anti-Racism Alliance and a volunteer at Welcome Home, a home goods pantry in Newton.
Maureen received a BA in Political Science from the College of the Holy Cross and an MBA from the Questrom School at Boston University.
